PC requirements, Steam Deck and performance
Updated · Reported
Official specs, install size, Denuvo, and the honest Steam Deck verdict at launch.
Official PC requirements
| Minimum (1080p / 30 fps with upscaling) | Recommended (1440p / 60 fps with upscaling) | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10/11, 64-bit | Windows 10/11, 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i5-10600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB / Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB | GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB / Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB |
| DirectX | 12 | 12 |
| Storage | SSD required | SSD required |
Both targets assume upscaling is on. S-GAME also lists two optional tiers: ray tracing at 1080p/60 with upscaling on an RTX 5060 8 GB, and path tracing at 4K/60 with upscaling on an RTX 5080 16 GB.
What reviewers measured on PC
- RTX 4080: around 100 fps at 4K High with DLSS Quality; shaders compile on first boot; ray tracing is expensive.
- RTX 5080: 60 fps maxed with path tracing, but with frame-pacing stutter including during loading; one outlet reported an Nvidia driver update made the stutter worse.
- 4070 Ti Super / 5080 (Gamersky): roughly 60 fps at 4K with DLSS Quality and no ray tracing, with drops in particle- and water-heavy maps; frame generation adds noticeable input lag.
- One reviewer hit crashes on fast travel; S-GAME told PCGamesN that frame-rate problems in one map would be fixed by launch. No day-one patch notes had been published as of 26 October.
PS5
Performance mode holds 60 fps most of the time, with drops in rainy Pangzhen and some boss fights; Graphics mode struggles on the base PS5; the PS5 Pro offers three modes.
Install size and DRM
- About 145 GB installed on PC, and S-GAME asks for 300 GB free during pre-load and unlock because the pre-load archive and the final files coexist until the unlock finishes.
- Denuvo Anti-Tamper is listed as third-party DRM on the Steam page.
- The game runs on Unreal Engine 5; the developer has said it targets low-end PCs as well.
Steam Deck
There is no Valve Deck rating at launch. Reviewers who tested the Deck advise against it for now: under 30 fps on the lowest settings, 23–27 fps in the Crimson Forest area with dips to around 10, and about 2–2.5 hours of battery. S-GAME has said it intends to optimise for the Deck, so this may change with patches. If you only have a Deck, wait for a post-launch patch and a settings guide rather than buying on day one.
What we will add after launch
- Tested settings for 1080p/60 on a mid-range GPU and the best-looking 1440p/60 preset.
- Ultrawide and frame-cap behaviour.
- Deck re-test after the first patch.
